Responsibilities
- Preparing, reviewing, negotiating, and executing transaction documentation
- Enhancing and further developing legal templates
- Executing transaction documentation and associated logistics
- Supporting the integration of legal documentation into a Contract Lifecycle Management tool
- Assisting with management of larger transactions
- Liaising with external legal counsels across jurisdictions
- Keeping up to date with legal and industry developments in renewable energy
Requirements
- Excellent legal academic credentials
- Qualified lawyer in India
- 5+ years’ experience in a law firm or as in-house counsel working on contracts and transactions - ideally with significant experience in solar
- Experience with Engineering Procurement and Construction contracts, lease agreements, and open-access transactions is strongly preferred.
- Outstanding negotiations skills
- Ability to translate economics or commercial matters into legal documents and vice versa
- Strong communication skills
- Self-starter with an entrepreneurial spirit
- Capacity to thrive in a fast-paced environment and hit KPIs
- Excellent written and spoken English required, additional languages are a plus.
