About the role

Responsibilities
- Support the development and evaluation of learning-based methods for map-based visual localization in autonomous driving.
- Help review state-of-the-art visual localization techniques and analyze the impact of diverse map components and input modalities.
- Contribute research findings directly to the advancement of map products.
- Drive projects with regular feedback from a mentor and receive dedicated support from the expert team.
Requirements
- Studies in computer science, artificial intelligence, robotics, or a related technical field (Master's program).
- Knowledge in computer vision and deep learning, familiar with modern vision transformers and scene representations.
- High proficiency in programming and debugging with Python, PyTorch, and OpenCV.
- Prior project experience in computer vision or autonomous driving perception algorithms is a plus.
- Business-fluent English skills; German proficiency is a plus.
