About the role

Requirements
- Four years of lead work, supervision, or progressively related experience; OR one year of related experience and a bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Demonstrated advanced knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, Government Accounting Standards, and Oregon Accounting Manual.
- Experience preparing financial reports, reconciling accounts, and overseeing month-end and year-end processes.
- Proficient in the Statewide Financial Management System (SFMS) for the State of Oregon, or equivalent experience with SFMS.
- Advanced Excel skills, including macros, pivot tables, and automation.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Leadership/supervision skills – Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and develop accounting staff.
- Excellent communication skills – Ability to communicate with team members and management.
- Compliance and control skills – Experience ensuring compliance with policies and regulations.
