About the role
- Analyst supporting international grants and compliance at Birds Canada, advancing bird conservation initiatives across Latin America and the Caribbean.
Responsibilities
- Ensure that international grant funds are managed in line with Government of Canada donor agreements
- Monitor grant agreements and support partner capacity building
- Assist with budget revisions and uphold accountability across projects
- Support development, monitoring, and revision of grant agreements
- Review and report on partner financial submissions
- Help identify compliance issues and support mitigation strategies
- Assist with audit preparedness, especially for GAC audits
- Collaborate with Finance on consolidation of financial reporting
Requirements
- 1+ years experience in grant or financial management for international programs, or equivalent
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial review skills
- Experience with institutional donors; Global Affairs Canada experience strongly preferred
- Ability to work with partners across cultures and geographies
- Advanced spreadsheet and MS Office skills; familiarity with accounting systems
- Experience with capacity building and Results-Based Management is an asset
