About the role

Responsibilities
- Lead global project portfolio management, prioritisation, and resource allocation
- Develop and implement frameworks, tools, and best practices for R&D project governance
- Support teams with guidance, training, and performance monitoring to drive consistency and efficiency
- Align initiatives with strategic goals, ensuring clear decision-making and accountability
- Monitor progress to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and on budget
- Act as a central coordination point across sites, breaking down silos and enabling smoother collaboration
Requirements
- Proven experience in PMO leadership or project management in life sciences R&D
- Hands-on experience managing cross-functional instrument development projects (software projects highly desirable)
- Strong expertise in governance, risk management, and resource planning
- Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder-management skills across diverse, multi-site teams
- Proficiency with project-management tools and methodologies
- Formal project-management training (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent)
- Ability and enthusiasm to travel regularly and build relationships across multiple sites
