Responsibilities
Conduct internal compliance investigations into allegations of harassment, discrimination, fraud, corruption, and other potential or actual misconduct.
Document investigation activities thoroughly and accurately in English and German, and report findings to the Senior Director, Global Investigations to mitigate risk and strengthen the compliance culture.
Further develop and oversee BioNTech’s global investigations process, including updating policies, procedures, investigation templates, and effective investigation strategies.
Maintain and enhance the whistleblower system, ensuring confidentiality and professional case handling.
Ensure BioNTech’s compliance with global ethical standards and regulatory requirements for the protection of reporting persons.
Design and deliver investigations and Speak‑Up awareness training and campaigns with global reach.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders and partner teams to uphold compliance and ethical standards and to facilitate the conduct of compliance investigations.
Manage external service providers, such as management consultancies (Big Four) and law firms, for structured handling of compliance investigations when required.
Requirements
Degree in economics, law, or a related field, with a focus on compliance and/or internal investigations.
Minimum of 5 years’ professional experience leading and conducting internal compliance investigations, preferably in an international environment.
Customer-oriented mindset with a strong service mentality, integrity, and independence.
Discretion and team spirit to collaborate reliably and protect the interests of all parties involved.
Strategic and analytical thinking to derive sustainable measures and assess complex issues.
Fluent in English and German; additional languages (e.g., Chinese) are a plus.
