Responsibilities
- You support, advise, and connect agricultural enterprises with pig farms
- You conduct training events and participate in projects related to pigs
- Guidance, advisory services, and networking for pig farms
- Participation in pig-farming projects, e.g. GeSchwInD conversion advisory services for pig farms
- Recruitment of pig-owning farms for Bioland
- Design and delivery of educational events
- Preparation of farm business analyses
- Writing technical information for member farms and participation in specialist committees and trade fairs
- Interface to marketers of organic pigs
Requirements
- Strong affinity for organic farming, ideally with practical experience
- Enthusiasm for all topics related to pigs
- Degree in Agricultural Sciences (FH/University), a master farmer qualification, or an equivalent qualification
- Ideally some first experience in agricultural advisory services
- Confident manner, good communication skills, and a good rapport with farmers
- Enjoyment of organizing a variety of event formats
- Independent and structured way of working
- Enjoyment of sharing knowledge through presentations and articles
- Willingness to travel for work (valid driver’s license required) for advisory work, projects, and events
