Responsibilities
Lead and support a team delivering on-site operational technology services and physical hardware support.
Ensure effective and timely responses to service requests, incidents, and problems, managing the Technology service catalogue.
Coordinate and prioritise incident response for IT/OT-related systems to minimise disruption to operations.
Lead end-to-end lifecycle management of physical technology hardware across site operations.
Build, deploy, patch, and troubleshoot end-user devices while overseeing low-level asset and inventory management.
Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) that govern operational performance, reliability, and optimisation of managed services.
Monitor and maintain safety systems, advising on system safety issues and implementing safety lifecycle management strategies.
Identify and manage operational and technology risks using BHP’s Risk Management Framework.
Engage and manage internal and external stakeholders, including operational leaders and technology partners.
Coach, develop, and support team members to build capability, trust, and a high-performance culture.
Requirements
Experience working in an operational environment as an IT/OT technician or similar role.
Strong understanding of IT Service Management, incident, problem, and change management practices.
Experience with SAP Work Management and ServiceNow (SNoW) processes and systems.
Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop teams in a safety-critical environment.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to influence up to Superintendent and Manager level.
Solid understanding of safety and workplace management, with a commitment to achieving safe and productive outcomes.
Required: IT Service Management Framework certification (ITIL Foundation).
Recommended: Tertiary qualifications in Engineering, IT, or a relevant trade equivalent.
