Lead React Native Engineer developing mobile applications for a healthcare platform. Collaborating on patient-focused mobile experiences and crafting solutions in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
Build AI-powered patient experiences: Create intelligent tools that keep patients engaged between visits — using agentic systems to personalize support, automate follow-up, and extend care beyond the video session
Instrument for insight: Build feedback loops into every layer of the app — analytics, telemetry, and A/B testing hooks that let us learn from every tap and session to better inform our product feature roadmap
Design for adaptability: Architect a modular app foundation that supports rapid iteration on new care models, engagement flows, and AI-driven personalization to better serve the needs of our patients and providers
Champion mobile craft: Create internal playbooks, tooling, and shared knowledge that make Berry Street’s mobile engineering practice faster, more consistent, and easier to work with. You are obsessed with creating a system for engineering excellence
Requirements
Experience: 5–7 years building and scaling mobile applications, with deep experience in React Native.
Technical Mastery: Strong in React, TypeScript, and mobile-specific concerns (navigation, performance, native modules).
Full-Stack Awareness: Proficient in API design, database architecture, and integrating with backend systems (REST/GraphQL, PostgreSQL).
App Release Lifecycle Expertise: Hands-on experience managing App Store and Google Play deployments, versioning, and over-the-air updates.
Best Practices Advocate: Deep understanding of mobile development lifecycle, testing, analytics, and continuous delivery.
Product Thinker: Writes code with empathy for end users and appreciation for clinical, operational, and patient contexts.
Team Player: Energizes the team through collaboration, humility, and a focus on outcomes.
