Responsibilities
- Develops, achieves and maintains maximum sales volume consistent with projections.
- Actively generates new leads through community activities, attending association meetings, and cold calling to obtain expiration dates and other information to turn leads into prospects and clients.
- Submits data on potential accounts and renewals to support personnel for processing, helps market accounts, presents proposals to prospects and clients, and closes sales.
- Continually strives to provide value added customer service to existing clients.
- Handles complex processing and claim situations with client and/or company personnel.
- Responsible for collection of all premiums, including audits made subsequent to policy issuance, on all new accounts produced.
- Maintains production reports and attends sales meetings as required.
- Promotes the agency and the insurance industry in the community.
Requirements
- Insurance License
- Proficient with MS Office Suite
- Exceptional telephone demeanor
- Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
- 1 – 3 years experience in a similar position
- Acceptable results of a Motor Vehicle Record report at the time of hire and periodically thereafter, and maintenance of minimum acceptable insurance coverages are a requirement of this position.
