Responsibilities
Bring characters and objects to life through compelling animation that aligns with the project’s creative vision.
Collaborate with the Animation Supervisor/leads to refine performance, timing, and movement in scenes.
Interpret storyboards and animatics into fully realized animation, adding nuance and personality to characters.
Ensure consistency in style and quality across all assigned shots, adhering to the established animation guidelines.
Collaborate with leadership, production, and team members to solve problems and share insights.
Engage in dailies, rounds, and team discussions to contribute to creative and technical improvements.
Adhere to pipeline workflows and technical requirements for seamless integration into the production process.
Maintain consistency in quality while meeting production needs.
Manage time effectively, working with production to stay on schedule.
Keep the team and production staff informed about progress, challenges, and solutions.
Requirements
Previous production experience as an Animator (or similar) in TV series or featurette animation.
Strong understanding of animation principles, timing, and acting for animation.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively promote solutions, share knowledge, and incorporate feedback.
Strong time management skills
A portfolio that demonstrates:
A range of character animation showcasing strong performance and acting skills
Strong grasp of weight, timing/spacing, and appeal in animation performance.
Ability to animate cartoony/stylized characters
Clear understanding of storytelling through animation.
