**Role Summary**

You’ll be the full-stack owner of our app, web and backend systems, ensuring the platforms that support our games are reliable, scalable and easy to evolve. Working closely with our Senior Game Developer, you’ll build and maintain our app, game delivery website and backend integrations, while embedding AI-accelerated workflows to ship features faster and reduce manual workload across the team.

**What you'll be responsible for**

App Development

- Build and maintain a polished, user-friendly companion app
- Integrate APIs, analytics, authentication and lightweight interactive elements
- Improve UX, performance and reliability over time

Web Platform & Game Delivery

- Maintain and improve our WebGL game wrapper site
- Manage user login, redemption flows and light CMS features
- Ship new features to support game launches and promotions

Backend & Integrations

- Maintain and extend our custom MongoDB backend
- Build simple APIs and admin functionality
- Integrate with Shopify for user and product data (read/write, not platform rebuild)
- Ensure clean, secure and pragmatic data handling

AI-Accelerated Development

- Use AI tools daily to speed up coding, refactoring and testing
- Build reusable prompt patterns and workflows
- Reduce human workload through smart automation
- Balance speed with sound engineering judgement

Full Stack Engineer

Full Stack Engineer responsible for app, web, and backend systems supporting games. Collaborating with the Senior Game Developer and utilizing AI for development efficiency.

• Own the discovery cadence for digital products - customer interviews, assumption testing, and opportunity mapping
• Build and maintain Opportunity Solution Trees (OSTs) for each product, surfacing the highest-value problems to solve
• Design and run lightweight experiments (prototype tests, A/B tests, concierge tests) to validate solutions before build
• Synthesise qualitative and quantitative signals into clear evidence based product decisions
• Champion continuous discovery across the team
• Translate the digital north stars into quarterly outcome targets and a prioritised backlog for each product

Product Manager

Product Manager responsible for product discovery and delivery across digital products in a hybrid team. Collaborating with developers and designers to enhance user experience and drive product success.

• You’ll be the senior technical owner for building and shipping multiplayer digital board game experiences.
• Design and build Unity-based digital board games
• Implement server-based multiplayer

Game Engineer

Game Engineer responsible for building and shipping multiplayer digital board game experiences in Unity. Setting engineering standards and leading AI-accelerated development workflows across the team.

3d-artist

• You’ll be the in-house designer responsible for the look, feel and motion of our digital game products - both in-game and UI, with occasional web and marketing asset work.
• You’ll own the visual design of game UI from concept to delivery, working closely with our developers to produce polished, on-brand experiences across mobile, tablet and TV.
• Design game assets for Unity titles
• Create UI assets production-ready for Unity’s uGUI system: sprite sheets, atlases, UI components, and screen layouts
• Design stylised assets in line with game art direction, including toon/flat aesthetics consistent with FlatKit and similar rendering styles
• Produce assets that work across the Universal Render Pipeline (URP), including any overlay or focus effects
• QA your own work in Unity - verifying assets render correctly, checking layout at target resolutions, and flagging integration issues to the developer
• Collaborate with the Game Developer on shader-driven UI effects and stencil-based UI overlays where required
• Design screens, components and flows in Figma, ready for Flutter implementation
• Maintain and evolve app design systems - components, tokens, spacing, typography and colour
• Design for Android and iOS - respecting platform conventions while maintaining a consistent Big Potato visual identity
• Work with the Full Stack Developer to ensure Figma handoff is clean, annotated and implementation-ready
• Design and deliver motion for both Unity and Flutter surfaces: UI transitions, button states, loading sequences, celebration moments and FTUE flows
• Produce After Effects or Lottie animations for Flutter, and Unity Timeline-compatible animation briefs for game UI
• Bring energy and polish to key moments in the product - onboarding, game launch, win/lose states
• Maintain visual coherence across all digital products
• Own and evolve the digital design system, ensuring reusable components are well-documented in Figma
• Work with the Head of Digital and PM to understand product goals and translate them into considered design solutions
• Deliver assets to spec and on time, adapting to sprint cycles and game launch schedules
• Reduce reliance on freelance design resource by being the reliable in-house owner of design output
• Use AI design tools to increase throughput without compromising quality
• Maximize asset efficiency to ensure builds are as snappy as can be.
