About the role
- Corporate Senior Environmental Manager driving company's environmental compliance and performance across regions. Developing and deploying frameworks while managing regulatory risks and compliance audits.
Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and deploy the corporate environmental framework, standards, policies, and procedures.
- Drive and oversee company-wide compliance with applicable federal, state, and local environmental regulations.
- Provide technical environmental support and guidance to sites on regulatory requirements, permitting, reporting, and operational compliance.
- Conduct, and lead environmental compliance audits and assessments.
- Track findings and support sites on corrective actions, and mitigation plans to closure.
- Support sites on regulatory agency inspections, enforcement actions, and inquiries.
- Lead the environmental incident management program, providing support on incident response, investigation, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
- Coordinate with the Legal department on regulatory matters, inspections, enforcement actions, and risk mitigation strategies.
- Develop and deliver environmental training programs for site leadership and operations personnel.
- Monitor regulatory changes and emerging environmental risks.
Requirements
- Bachelors or Masters degree in an Environmental related Science or Engineering.
- Advanced degree or professional certifications are required.
- Minimum 8-10 years of relevant experience in environmental management within industrial environments.
- Experience within Chemical Industries is a plus.
- High adaptability and willingness to travel.
- Ability to engage stakeholders at all operational levels.
- Deep knowledge on environmental regulations, standards and best practices.
- Auditing skills.
- Demonstrated people management and team building skills and the ability to manage multiple projects/programs simultaneously.
