Account Manager in Downstream Chemicals delivering customer success with chemical treatment programs. Collaborating with teams and managing key accounts in the refining and water treatment industries.
Responsibilities
Provide a vital service by implementing, monitoring, troubleshooting, and evaluating chemical treatment programs
Take ownership of key customer accounts to ensure they have the services and products required to operate safely and efficiently
Safely manage day-to-day operations of process, finished fuels, and water treatment programs to ensure performance and value delivery for our customers
Develop trusted relationships with customers and cross-functional teams to promote collaboration
Apply account management fundamentals to understand customer needs, requirements and potential sales opportunities while supporting the account P&L
Identify and coordinate numerous projects of varying complexity to bring value to our customers
Routine monitoring and reporting of performance of existing treatment programs
Collaborate with team members to drive technical sales and innovative solutions that bring value to our customers
Collect and interpret data for troubleshooting, service reports, meetings, reviews, and presentations delivered to customers
Provide field support, laboratory analysis and technical guidance for our customers on issues, projects, turn-arounds, shut-downs, and daily operations
Manage chemical inventories and deliveries at the customer locations
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering (preferred) or similar discipline
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in refining, petrochemical, industrial, and/or water treatment industries
Strong understanding of industrial chemical treatment technology and sales process
Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
Previous experience working in a laboratory setting and/or familiarity with analytical methods and interpretation
A comprehensive understanding of customer requirements and market conditions
Ability to present complex technical content to various levels of internal and external organizations, in a clear and concise manner
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook)
Ability to drive a company vehicle as required to perform job duties (motor vehicle record checks will be performed to determine eligibility to drive a company vehicle)
A TWIC Card or ability to obtain a TWIC Card
Reside in a location which will allow for weekly customer service visits to Russellville, KY, Calvert City, KY and Evansville, IN
