Responsibilities
- Performs a variety of complex financial and accounting responsibilities essential to the daily operations of the Administrative Office of the Courts (AOC)
- Routine monitoring for compliance with established policies and procedures
- Provides accounting and administrative support to Financial Office managers
- Provides technical assistance to internal and external customers, including auditors
- Prepares, reviews, verifies and processes accounting transactions, including purchase requisitions, claims, journal entries, revenue deposits, program disbursements, and revenue/expense transfers
- Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, streamline work processes and work cooperatively and jointly to provide quality customer service
Requirements
- Training and experience equivalent to a Bachelors degree in Business, Accounting, or Finance
- Demonstrable track record of reliability and excellent performance in a finance setting
- Attention to detail and time management skills
- Ability to prioritize a high volume of work to meet recurring deadlines
- Ability to use automated spreadsheets and other fiscal record keeping systems
- Knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
