Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the company's accounting operations within the designated area
- Ensure the production of accurate financial reports
- Enhance the accuracy of the entity's reported financial results
- Ensure that reported results comply with generally accepted accounting principles and SOX standards
- Assist senior management in maintaining and updating accounting policies and procedures
- Review and process approved GL maintenance transactions
- Complete primary review of specified reconciliations, including daily intercompany transactions and operations
- Implement new accounting systems and integrate current systems
- Assist in executing the month end close process as directed by senior management
- Prepare support for auditors and regulators as directed by senior management
- Create analysis related to new regulatory or business models
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting and finance roles
- Strong knowledge of GAAP and SOX compliance
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proven ability to manage and lead a team effectively
