About the role
- Java Developer designing and developing modern software architectures and business applications in the DACH region using Quarkus. Collaborating with teams for maintaining legacy projects and creating new microservices.
Responsibilities
- Planning and implementation of modern software architectures
- Development of new microservices (based on the Quarkus framework)
- Maintenance of legacy projects (Java EE, Jakarta EE, Quarkus)
- Documentation of implemented changes
- Writing automated tests
- Reviewing code changes created by team members
Requirements
- Completed degree in IT (e.g., Applied Computer Science, Business Informatics, etc.)
- Very good programming skills in Java in an enterprise environment (preferably Java EE / Jakarta EE)
- At least 3 years of professional experience
- Willingness to work in an engineering-minded way according to the state of the art (development process, documentation, tests, code reviews, security)
- Familiar with development environments/IDEs (preferably IntelliJ IDEA), source code management (preferably git), command-line tools and containerization (Docker, Podman)
- Very good German and English language skills.
