Responsibilities
- Leading projects to deliver piping solutions for new nuclear stations and systems
- Support operation of the existing nuclear generating fleet
- Decommission nuclear sites
- Technical leadership of piping teams
- Delivery of technical solutions to complex problems
- Production of clear and concise technical reports, calculations, and drawings
- Review and verification of technical documentation produced by others
- Regular communication with clients and stakeholders, building strong relationships
- Production of bids and proposals

Requirements
- Relevant qualifications in mechanical engineering or equivalent
- Senior technical practitioner able to demonstrate good engineering judgement
- Substantial experience in piping and/or pressure vessel design and stress analysis
- Experience in a safety critical and heavily regulated environment such as nuclear power generation/decommissioning industries
- Desirable: Chartered with a relevant professional institute (or approaching application for registration)
- Experience with design codes such as ASME BPVC Section III, RCC-M, BS EN 13480, BS EN 13445
- Awareness of UK legislation relating to piping
- Experience delivering projects for UK nuclear licensees
- Understanding of commercial and client management principles
