About the role
- Aviation Project Engineer leading designs for airport construction and related civil projects. Collaborating with diverse teams and ensuring compliance with engineering standards throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Plans, designs, and leads production of engineering drawings for airport and airport-related civil engineering projects
- Supports coordination with diverse design teams
- Oversees design elements and leads production
- Prepares specifications, contract documents, and other project related documents
- Develops and evaluates plans and criteria for new projects
- Performs field observations of construction where appropriate
- Coordinates with clients, permitting agencies, FAA, and other agencies
- Participates in quality control checks
- Upholds engineering ethics and standards
- Performs such other duties as the supervisor may from time to time deem necessary.
Requirements
- B.S. or M.S. in Civil Engineering or related
- seven (7) years of experience
- PE License Required
- Experience with airside and landside aviation projects
- Detailed knowledge of FAA Advisory Circulars, airport design, and engineering standards
- Strong technical writing and communications skills
- Proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Microsoft Office
- Bluebeam experience a plus
- Good interpersonal skills.
