About the role
- Financial Accountant leading financial processes for European operations at a gaming technology company. Ensuring accurate reporting, compliance, and collaboration with various teams and stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Lead the monthly close process for European operations
- Post journals with a high level of precision
- Maintain, analyze, own, and improve monthly balance sheet reconciliations
- Perform bank reconciliations and account for foreign exchange differences
- Manage the fixed asset register, including additions, disposals, and depreciation
- Handle prepayments and accruals ledger
- Reconcile IFRS 16 balances and manage reporting
- Deliver high-standard reporting and financial analysis
- Post, review, and reconcile monthly payroll
- Collaborate closely with the Accounts Payable team
- Develop and improve robust financial control processes
- Support corporate-led projects and system implementations
- Play a key role in year-end audits and statutory accounts preparation
- Address tax queries, surveys, intercompany recharges, and other ad hoc tasks
Requirements
- Qualified Accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent)
- Strong technical accounting, reporting, and reconciliation skills
- Experience in month-end closing and reporting
- Knowledge of Intangible Assets (IAS 38) and Leases (IFRS 16)
- Proficiency in Excel; experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365, Concur, and TM1 is ideal
- Outstanding problem-solving and analytical skills
