- Project Water Engineer at Arcadis focusing on drinking water planning, design, and construction. Collaborating locally and nationally on various water treatment projects.
Responsibilities
- collaborate with local and national teams for successful planning, funding assistance, preliminary and final design, and construction of water treatment plants, distribution systems, and pump stations
- creating construction documents, specifications, and providing engineering services during construction
- Lead preparation of detailed engineering calculations & analysis
- Complete design tasks within budget and on schedule
- Prepare scopes of work, cost estimates and other project documentation
- Support the work of others and mentor junior-level engineers & design/drafting technical staff
- Work directly, when assigned, with clients to determine needs and provide solutions
- Maintain compliance with all Arcadis practices and quality and safety standards
- Travel may be required for site visits, client meetings, or construction oversight based on project needs
Requirements
- Minimum 7 years of experience in engineering with focus on drinking water
- Experience in design or consulting engineering or Municipal work environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering, or related field of study
- NY PE license or ability to obtain one via reciprocity shortly after joining Arcadis
- 10 years of relevant water/wastewater experience
- Project leadership experience including managing overall project delivery expectations, prioritizing tasks, and mentoring.
- Client management experience, including preparation and development of proposals and client relationship building.
- Active participation in regional and/or national professional association(s).
