About the role

• Projektmanager für Hydrogeologie und Wasserwirtschaft bei Arcadis, verantwortlich für Netzausbauprojekte in Deutschland. Arbeiten an komplexen hydrogeologischen Analysen und Genehmigungsprozessen mit Behörden.

Responsibilities

• Independently plan, manage and execute complex hydrogeological and hydrological analyses to support grid expansion projects.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for authorities, project stakeholders and internal specialist departments.
• Assess the water-related impacts of grid expansion projects (energy networks).
• Lead negotiations and coordinate with authorities and public interest bodies.
• Independently prepare and manage permit applications, particularly in the areas of construction dewatering, surface water and groundwater protection, and the EU Water Framework Directive.
• Develop innovative solutions and optimize existing water management processes.

Requirements

• A completed degree (Bachelor, Master or Diploma) in Hydrogeology or Hydrology, Civil Engineering, Water Resources Management, Urban Water Management or a comparable field.
• Several years of relevant professional experience, particularly in planning and implementing complex water management measures for grid expansion.
• In-depth knowledge of permitting management and experience working with authorities and political decision-makers.
• Experience in project management, including schedule and cost tracking as well as reporting.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills when dealing with clients, authorities and other relevant stakeholders.
• Strategic thinking and a solution-oriented working style, with a high degree of personal responsibility.
• Very good German language skills (written and spoken) and good English skills for collaboration on international projects.
