About the role

Responsibilities
- Lead the Infrastructure and Security unit with currently 6 employees
- Responsible for the secure, stable and future-proof operation of the municipal administration's technical core services
- Ensure the IT infrastructure meets legal requirements, security standards and the strategic objectives of the Elmshorn city administration
- Manage and further develop the Infrastructure and Security team, including personnel development and coordination of tasks
- Plan and take responsibility for the unit's budget
- Contribute to the City of Elmshorn's IT strategy and work closely with department management and other specialist departments
- Coordinate and prioritize infrastructure projects during ongoing operations
Requirements
- Completed degree in Computer Science, IT Security or a comparable qualification
- Alternatively: completed vocational training as an IT specialist (Fachinformatiker) with several years of relevant professional experience in infrastructure
- Experience in technical and disciplinary leadership of teams, or willingness to take on initial leadership responsibility
- Expertise in network technology, server and virtualization environments, and cloud infrastructures
- Knowledge of IT security and compliance (BSI-IT-Grundschutz, ISMS (ISO 27001) and NIS2 requirements)
- Experience in the secure operation of IT infrastructures (including data center and endpoint management)
- Experience conducting risk analyses, security audits and vulnerability management (SIEM)
- Business-fluent German in spoken and written form (at least C1 level)
