Responsibilities
Record and process invoices, payments, receipts, and journal entries accurately and on time.
Daily monitoring of collections and communication to internal sales and reservation team in a timely manner.
Weekly group cash and bank reporting to internal management.
Regularly reconcile bank statements with internal records, identify discrepancies, and coordinate corrections as needed.
Support the accounting team in closing financial periods by compiling supporting documents, preparing necessary schedules, and ensuring all relevant transactions are captured.
Update and maintain the general ledger and subsidiary ledgers for accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, and inventory.
Review and process employee expense claims in accordance with company policy, flagging inconsistencies or policy breaches for further review.
Compile requested documents and assist external auditors during audits.
Assist in routine financial reports for internal management, including cash flow statements, profit and loss summaries, and balance sheets.
Oversee and reconcile petty cash transactions, ensuring proper documentation and authorization.
Maintain accurate and up-to-date digital and physical filing systems for supporting documentation.
Ensure all work complies with organizational financial policies, regulatory guidelines, and ethical standards.
Identify opportunities to streamline processes and suggest improvements for greater efficiency and accuracy.
Requirements
A diploma or degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, Oracle, SAP) and Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
Ability to analyze financial data, reconcile accounts, and identify errors or inconsistencies.
Exceptional accuracy in data entry and financial record-keeping.
Clear verbal and written communication abilities to work effectively with colleagues and management.
Strong time management and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks to deadlines.
Demonstrated honesty and ethical behavior when handling sensitive financial data.
