About the role
- Finance Manager at Scope Markets responsible for financial operations, reporting, and compliance in Limassol, Cyprus. Overseeing budgeting, audits, and collaboration with financial institutions.
Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports including P&L, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Monitor day-to-day accounting operations, journal entries, and financial reconciliations.
- Oversee all bookkeeping, ledger management, and financial record-keeping.
- Prepare and manage the company’s budget in consultation with department heads.
- Provide financial insights to support decision-making.
- Work with the Payments Department (as the case may be) to ensure proper oversight of client deposits, withdrawals, and internal transfers.
- Maintain accurate records of cash positions, including segregated client accounts where applicable.
- Manage relationships with financial institutions, PSPs, and auditors.
- Ensure accurate and timely tax filings, financial reports, and regulatory returns.
- Liaise with auditors and regulatory authorities during audits and inspections.
- Develop and implement financial controls and procedures to safeguard assets.
- Ensure segregation of duties and oversight of financial workflows.
- Collaborate with Operations and Compliance functions to ensure transparency in transaction flows and internal reporting.
- Support strategic planning with timely financial data and analysis.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or operations, ideally in Dubai.
- Good knowledge of budgeting, reporting, reconciliation, and financial controls.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage projects in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication and collaboration skills.
