About the role
- Process Engineer responsible for enhancing efficiency and production capacity in Airgas Production facilities. Analyzing data, maintaining equipment performance, and seeking continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- identifying and developing projects to improve and maintain the efficiency and production capacity of Airgas Production facilities
- pulls data from plant and analyses it for efficiency as well as equipment performance and future maintenance
- Using previously designed methodology to build models for specified plant equipment and processes for SIO
- Proactively manage the flow and dissemination of data required to perform the tasks associated with this role
- monitor and communicate plant efficiencies using both real-time and historical data streams
- Daily analysis of plant efficiency KPIs, and regular use of analytical tools to actively find opportunities to improve efficiency and reliability
- Utilize the case management process to document and track efficiency opportunities or reliability risks
- Collaborate with other LEAD analysts, plant operations, efficiency engineers, and maintenance experts to resolve cases
- document findings and actively seek continuous improvement
- Work with data analytics tools (Aveva Prism, Tibco, SEEQ, PI AF, PI Vision etc.) to detect technical plant operational issues
- manage and implement requirements for plant data analytics models
- lead one of the various LEAD Center programs
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering or related field
- At least 2 years engineering experience
- Previous experience analyzing data related to efficiency
- Basic knowledge of chemical engineering equipment such as compressors, pumps, exchangers, distillation, reactors, valves, instruments
- Proficient in Google Suite and MS Excel and ability to learn software/tools
