Responsibilities
Directs the activities of the Network Engineering team
Direct responsibility over technical, operational and long-term strategic direction of secure and highly resilient and regulated network architecture
Works with business and technical stakeholders to assess new requirements and identify solutions consistent with long term Network strategy
Selects, develops and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function
Provides direct supervision to individual contributors
Lead and manage the network engineering team, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance evaluations
Design, implement, and maintain robust network infrastructure to support business operations
Develop and enforce network policies, procedures, and standards
Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of network solutions
Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal functionality
Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to drive innovation
Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for network-related services and equipment
Ensure compliance with security protocols and regulatory requirements
Prepare and manage budgets for network engineering projects
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master's preferred)
Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in network engineering, with at least 3 years in a managerial role
Strong knowledge of network protocols, hardware, and software
Proven experience in designing and implementing complex network solutions
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
Certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent are highly desirable
