Asset Finance/Banking Paralegal supporting finance transactions across law firms and financial institutions. Gain exposure to high-value, complex finance transactions in various legal environments.
Responsibilities
Supporting asset finance and banking transactions, including leasing, secured lending and structured finance matters (e.g. aviation, shipping, rail or equipment finance).
Reviewing, drafting and amending transaction documentation, including facility agreements, leases, NDAs, side letters and ancillary documents.
Managing conditions precedent, checklists, execution and transaction closings.
Coordinating signatures, notarisation, filings and post-completion steps.
Maintaining deal bibles, trackers and document management systems.
Liaising with lawyers, clients, counterparties and internal stakeholders.
Supporting cross-border transactions and working with international counsel.
Conducting legal research and preparing summaries, internal notes or templates.
Assisting with regulatory, compliance or KYC-related queries where relevant.
Requirements
Prior paralegal experience (private practice or in-house).
Experience in financial services, ideally asset finance, banking, structured finance or secured lending.
Strong document management and transactional support skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Highly organised, detail-oriented and able to manage competing deadlines.
Experience gained at a US or international law firm or within a financial services organisation is preferred.
Exposure to asset-backed financing structures (aviation, shipping, rail or equipment).
Familiarity with finance documentation used in UK and international markets is preferred.
Additional European language skills are advantageous but not essential.
