About the role

• Senior Accountant overseeing the creation of financial statements and tax preparations at Airline Assistance Switzerland. Collaborating with teams to optimize accounting workflows in a hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities

• Independently prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements in accordance with HGB and IFRS.
• Prepare tax returns and act as the primary point of contact for tax authorities and external auditors.
• Challenge existing accounting processes and digitize our workflows (e.g., implementation of new ERP modules).
• Provide professional support and mentorship to junior colleagues on the team.

Requirements

• Completed commercial vocational training with further qualification as a certified financial accountant (Bilanzbuchhalter), or a relevant degree with a focus on finance.
• Several years (5+ years) of professional experience in financial accounting, ideally in a dynamic environment or at an audit firm.
• In-depth knowledge of financial statement preparation and current tax law.
• Confident use of common ERP systems (in particular DATEV or Microsoft Dynamics / Business Central) and very strong Excel skills.
