About the role
- Technical Lead for engineering projects in CANDU nuclear facilities; leading teams and managing BOP mechanical scopes. Focused on providing innovative energy solutions for clean energy.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of 10+ employees and possibly contractors
- Be a Technical Lead for a variety of engineering projects to support BOP mechanical scopes for CANDU nuclear power plants (e.g., Bruce Power) and nuclear facilities (e.g., CNL)
- Identify mechanical resources within GOS' Plant and Design Engineering department to support Canadian projects
- Provide resources and support for major projects such as AP1000 and AP300, among others
- Work with other teams (e.g., Long-term Operations (LTO)) in the development of estimates, technical descriptions, and project offers
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Mechanical, Civil, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering required and Master of Science (M.S.)/Master of Business Administration (MBA) (preferred but not required)
- 12+ years of engineering experience
- Experience working with multiple teams to coordinate the flow of information
- Leadership experience and general understanding of project management and financial models
- P.Eng. Licence
- Can work in an international team environment
- Can travel 10-25% of the time
- It is a bona fide job requirement to be eligible and authorized to travel to the U.S. on Westinghouse business
