About the role
- Strategischer Einkäufer managing global supplier selection and price negotiations for automotive components. Working closely with procurement departments and identifying cost potentials in a hybrid working environment.
Responsibilities
- Global supplier and product selection for new parts
- Cross-group supplier management for all suppliers
- Price and terms negotiations for new and existing parts as well as capital goods
- Close collaboration with the group's procurement departments
- Master data maintenance
- Identification of cost-reduction opportunities
- Responsibility for material quota as part of budgetary accountability
- Escalation measures arising from complaints and delivery delays
Requirements
- Completed technical or commercial vocational training, advanced business qualification (e.g., Fachwirt) or degree
- Several years of experience in procurement/purchasing
- Strong technical understanding
- Automotive experience desirable
- Entrepreneurial, cost-conscious mindset and approach
- Strategic and solution-oriented thinking
- Strong communication skills and confident negotiation ability
- Business-fluent English
- Willingness to travel
