About the role
- Senior Specialist Technical Writer managing IT Operations documentation across ISO standards and IT service desk workflows. Collaborating with multiple stakeholders to ensure compliance and accuracy in technical documentation.
Responsibilities
- Draft and maintain ISMS documentation: policies, procedures, control mappings to Annex A, risk assessments, Statements of Applicability, and POA&M aligned with ISO 27001/27002 standards.
- Document ITIL/ISO 20000 workflows: incident/request management, escalation, knowledge-base articles, and service catalog entries.
- Create user manuals, process diagrams, SOPs for enterprise tools (e.g., ERP, CRM, bespoke apps).
- Partner with InfoSec teams to translate GDPR, NIST, SOC 2, etc. requirements into formal documentation.
- Produce project plans, meeting minutes, action logs, status reports, and lessons-learned docs.
- Enforce document versioning, style consistency (DITA, Markdown, AP/Chicago), template usage, and maintain centralized repositories.
Requirements
- Bachelors in IT, Cybersecurity, Technical Writing, or equivalent.
- 2–5 years in technical writing—specifically ISO 27001/InfoSec/environment.
- Strong familiarity with ISO 20000/ITIL frameworks for service desk content.
- Proficiency with Confluence, SharePoint, Markdown, Visio.
- Excellent writing, editing, and collaboration skills.
- Certifications: ISO 27001 Lead Implementer/Auditor, ITIL Foundation, CISSP, CPTC (preferred).
- Experience with audit-ready environments (FedRAMP, SOC 2, HIPAA) (preferred).
- Proficient in-service desk platforms (ServiceNow, Jira, Zendesk, Remedy) (preferred).
- Exposure to Agile/Scrum documentation and project governance (preferred).
