About the role

• Fullstack Developer responsible for developing web applications for Banco Santander in a global project. Ensure code quality and mentor junior developers while adhering to best development practices.

Responsibilities

• Work on a global project to deliver commercial tools in the countries where Banco Santander operates.
• Design, develop and maintain responsive, accessible web applications with a focus on high usability and performance.
• Ensure code quality through practices such as:
• Automated testing
• Code reviews
• Continuous integration
• Mentor junior and mid-level developers, promoting best practices and continuous technical development.
• Actively participate in defining development standards, processes and best practices.

Requirements

• Knowledge of distributed microservices architecture, event-driven architecture and RESTful APIs.
• Experience developing Java microservices (Spring Boot) and with Apache Kafka.
• Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript.
• Experience with modern frameworks such as React and Angular.
• Understanding of responsive design principles, accessibility and web performance.
• Familiarity with build tools, version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Knowledge of automated testing (Jest, Cypress, JUnit).
• Experience with relational and non-relational databases.
• Experience with collaborative tools (Jira and Confluence).
• Experience with agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
