Senior EI&C Engineer involved in electrical and automation engineering projects for a technology company. Based in Düsseldorf, working within a multidisciplinary international team.
Responsibilities
Support projects during development and execution phases from concept development through project handover.
Create, review and/or approve electrical specifications for systems and components, including schematics, motor controls, control panels, sensors and AI systems.
Use design software (EPLAN, EAGLE, ALTIUM and/or SolidWorks) to design, configure and specify electrical systems.
Define technical standards and processes (design reviews, DFX, DFMEA, validation).
Support procurement, contracts and project management during tender processes to validate suppliers, components, scope and technical bids.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering or equivalent.
Minimum 7 years’ professional experience in electrical and automation engineering within heavy industry; experience with power plants or ORC technology is an advantage.
Fluent in German and English.
Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), Siemens Simatic S7, distributed control systems (DCS) and electrical protection systems.
Knowledge of IT/OT network communication protocols and the ability to define design criteria.
Strong understanding of electrical schematics, single-line diagrams and control loop diagrams, and the ability to work with EPLAN P8.
Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and protocols in the power generation industry. Experience with VDE 4110 grid studies is a plus.
Willingness to travel approximately 20% within Europe.
