About the role
- Senior EI&C Engineer involved in electrical and automation engineering projects for a technology company. Based in Düsseldorf, working within a multidisciplinary international team.
Responsibilities
- Support projects during development and execution phases from concept development through project handover.
- Create, review and/or approve electrical specifications for systems and components, including schematics, motor controls, control panels, sensors and AI systems.
- Use design software (EPLAN, EAGLE, ALTIUM and/or SolidWorks) to design, configure and specify electrical systems.
- Define technical standards and processes (design reviews, DFX, DFMEA, validation).
- Support procurement, contracts and project management during tender processes to validate suppliers, components, scope and technical bids.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 7 years’ professional experience in electrical and automation engineering within heavy industry; experience with power plants or ORC technology is an advantage.
- Fluent in German and English.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), Siemens Simatic S7, distributed control systems (DCS) and electrical protection systems.
- Knowledge of IT/OT network communication protocols and the ability to define design criteria.
- Strong understanding of electrical schematics, single-line diagrams and control loop diagrams, and the ability to work with EPLAN P8.
- Knowledge of relevant safety regulations and protocols in the power generation industry. Experience with VDE 4110 grid studies is a plus.
- Willingness to travel approximately 20% within Europe.
