About the role
- Senior DevOps Developer at Boeing, managing infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines for software applications. Collaborating with teams to automate processes and enhance system reliability.
Responsibilities
- Lead, design, implement, deploy, and maintain scalable, secure, and highly available infrastructure using cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), SAAS products (Databricks, Snowflake) and on-premises solutions
- Design & develop reusable IaC modules for deploying Kubernetes, Databricks, Snowflake and other related cloud services on AWS and Azure
- Build and optimize continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines to enable rapid and reliable software releases
- Automate repetitive tasks, including provisioning, configuration, and monitoring, using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or similar
- Implement and manage monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure system reliability and performance (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK Stack)
- Integrate DevOps pipelines with tools like GitHub Actions, GitLab CI or Jenkins
- Work closely with developers to integrate DevOps practices into the software development lifecycle and support containerized applications (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
- Ensure infrastructure and pipelines adhere to security best practices and compliance requirements (e.g., ITAR, EAR, SOC 2, GDPR)
- Diagnose and resolve infrastructure, deployment, and performance issues in production and non-production environments
- Automate, monitor and optimize cloud resource usage to balance performance and cost efficiency
- Integrate DevSecOps practices including secret management, vulnerability scanning and compliance check
- Maintain clear documentation of infrastructure, processes, and configurations to support team collaboration and knowledge sharing
- Guide and mentor development team members and sharing knowledge to foster a DevOps culture
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
- 5+ years of experience in reliability, software development, DevOps or infrastructure
- 5+ years of experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD), deploying to cloud environments
- 5+ years of experience with DevOps software including Gitlab, Ansible, Terraform, Jira, Azure DevOps Pipelines, GitHub, AWS CodeBuild, AWS CodePipelines, AWS CodeGuru
- 5+ years of experience with software programming/scripting (such as Python, Unix/Linux type batch scripting, FORTRAN, C / C++)
- 5+ years of experience with containerization and Kubernetes (e.g. Elastic Kubernetes Service, Azure Kubernetes Service)
