- Senior Data Engineering Developer contributing to the analysis and delivery of data pipelines in a large data science lab. Collaborating on best practices and evolving the data engineering practice.
Responsibilities
- Participate in the analysis design, development, and delivery of efficient, effective, and secure data pipelines with your team.
- Participate in the implementation of industry best practices.
- Be an agent of change who will grow the data engineering practice to make the lab an industry benchmark.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Software Engineering or any equivalent combination of training and experience.
- 6+ years experience in Software Engineering / Data Engineering / ETL development / Data Warehousing.
- Understanding of software design pattern, OOP and SOLID principles.
- Strong proficiency in the Python programming language and the PySpark Framework.
- Basic understanding of machine learning and artificial intelligence is a nice to have.
- For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English-speaking colleagues across the country.
- No Canadian work experience required however must be eligible to work in Canada.
