About the role

• Senior Backend Developer responsible for backend applications in E-commerce at a digital agency. Focusing on designing and optimizing modern applications and interfaces in Bielefeld.

Responsibilities

• You design backend logic for e‑commerce processes.
• You continuously optimize conversion rates, performance, and security.
• You are responsible for the integration and development of interfaces (APIs).
• You analyze requirements, interfaces, and data imports/exports.
• You derive actionable recommendations.

Requirements

• Completed degree in Computer Science, a completed apprenticeship as an IT specialist, or a comparable qualification.
• At least 3–5 years of experience in e‑commerce and shop platforms, ideally Shopware, or other content management systems.
• Multilingual — fluent in German and English; you are also fluent in PHP and JavaScript.
