About the role
- Senior Application Administrator in Technology Engineering Transactions Department at Luminor, focused on stability and support of applications for financial services. Responsibilities include incident resolution and collaboration with multiple teams.
Responsibilities
- Ensure high availability and stability of key applications that support our business
- Investigate and resolve incidents and service requests within defined SLOs. Escalate to senior engineers or vendors when needed
- Monitor application health, logs, and interfaces to proactively detect and prevent service disruptions
- Perform configuration tasks, application deployments, and manage scheduled maintenance
- Support post-incident reviews, root cause analysis, and implement preventive actions.
- Document troubleshooting steps, known issues, and recovery procedures
- Work closely with the service desk, DevOps, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and engineering teams to deliver seamless support
- Participate in testing and rollouts for patches, upgrades, and new features
- Ensure adherence to compliance, data privacy, and security standards required in the banking sector
- Participate in on-call rotations, including evenings and weekends
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in IT application support or software engineering, preferably within the financial services industry
- Understanding of financial services architecture and integrations (REST/SOAP APIs, message queues)
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools like NewRelic, Grafana or ELK
- Working knowledge of databases (e.g., Oracle, SQL Server) and scripting (e.g., Bash, PowerShell) would be considered an advantage
- Experience with Java and Spring Boot, familiarity with Jenkins and Git is a plus
- Bonus points for practical knowledge of AWS and cloud-based application management
- Familiarity with ITIL processes, especially incident, problem, and change management
- Strong analytical skills, service orientation, and ability to work in high-pressure environments
- Availability for on-call rotations and incident support outside business hours
- Fluent English is required in spoken and written communication due to working on the Pan-Baltic level.
