About the role
- Risk Advisor conducting risk assessments and developing risk models for Enbridge Gas assets in Canada and the USA. Collaborating with stakeholders to communicate risks and actionable recommendations.
Responsibilities
- Conduct risk assessments to support risk-informed decision making
- Apply fit-for-purpose risk assessment methodologies to identify and evaluate operational risks—including health & safety, operations, environment, reputation, and financial aspects
- Apply ALARP (As Low As Reasonably Practicable) principle in risk assessments and communication of results
- Conduct risk tolerability assessments
- Conduct value assessments (risk and benefit analysis)
- Develop expertise and best company practices in risk modelling
- Engage collaborators to understand their needs in risk assessment
- Report on risks with clear documentation to a broad range of stakeholders
- Exercise independent judgment in selecting appropriate risk methodologies
Requirements
- Related university degree in Engineering or equivalent, with P. Eng. or P. Eng underway
- Four-plus years’ experience or six-plus years of previous field operations experience
- Relevant industry experience of conducting and managing Qualitative and Quantitative Risk Assessment (QRA), especially FTA, ETA and consequence analysis
- Highly numerate, logical, self-motivated individual with excellent attention to details
- Ability to present and facilitate to a wide variety of audiences, including senior management
- Preference for those with experience in integrity and/or reliability and/or pipeline engineering
