About the role
- Release and Configuration Manager overseeing software installations and updates for BackOffice applications. Ensuring smooth deployments and minimal disruptions to operations through management and planning.
Responsibilities
- Establish and manage the release process through a software configuration management (SCM) plan.
- Manage release schedules, milestones, and dependencies to ensure timely delivery of software releases.
- Plan and execute application installations on various non-production environments.
- Install and operate BackOffice applications on various non-production environments.
- Monitor installations and ensure proper functioning.
- Maintain an up-to-date inventory of BackOffice application versions on each non-production environment.
- Analyze and report anomalies encountered during installations and follow up on their resolution.
- Report on successful installations and operation.
- Participate in project progress meetings and provide updates on progress.
- Continuously improve release and configuration management processes through automation and best practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience with CI/CD methodologies, workflows, configuration management, and corresponding tools.
- Experience with SCM for large, complex software-based systems.
- Proficiency with Configuration Management tools, such as Azure DevOps.
- Strong administration skills in Oracle.
- Familiarity with IT concepts on Windows and Linux platforms.
- Development experience is a plus.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to interact effectively with senior management, customers, and partners.
