About the role
- Procurement Category Specialist assisting the Procurement team at Ampol. Conducting data analysis, supplier negotiations, and contract implementations in Energy Solutions.
Responsibilities
- Support the team across all categories to deliver agreed activities as set out in category plans or in response to business needs.
- Lead tactical procurement initiatives to deliver value to the business.
- Conduct analysis of spend and supply markets to identify new opportunities to save money, innovate, improve service and reduce risk.
- Leverage experience and subject matter knowledge to support the team and deliver outcomes.
- Be a trusted commercial advisor within procurement operations activities.
- Apply change management tools and techniques to influence business outcomes.
- Prepare periodic management reporting on the portfolio activities, performance and business plans.
Requirements
- At least 3 years’ experience in sourcing, contract administration, procurement or other relevant analyst role.
- Knowledge of procurement fundamentals, sourcing and negotiations.
- Experience with contract implementation and management.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills.
- Strengths in data analysis and commercial guidance.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, legal, economics, finance or related discipline.
