About the role
- Principal Software Engineer leading design and delivery of the bank’s electronic Interest Rate Swap trading platform. Collaborating with trading desks and quant teams to enhance market competitiveness.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and delivery of the bank’s electronic Interest Rate Swap (eIRS) trading platform
- Architect and implement scalable, low-latency systems that support real-time pricing, negotiation, and trade execution across dealer-to-dealer and dealer-to-client markets
- Work closely with trading desks, quant teams, and product owners to deliver innovative solutions that enhance market competitiveness and operational resilience
Requirements
- Deep expertise in Java (8/17), Spring Boot, and distributed systems architecture
- Experience with IRS market platforms such as Tradeweb and MarkitWire
- Strong understanding of IRS instruments, pricing conventions, and swap templates
- Familiarity with AWS services (EC2, S3, Redis, SNS, SQS), Kafka/EventHub, DevSecOps/CI/CD technologies as well as modern SRE technology
- Experienced in using Agentic AI to assist engineering effort
- Knowledge of quant libraries and risk analytics integration
- SSL standard for secure encrypted communications
