Responsibilities
- You will collaborate with Engineering, Mobile Development, and Product teams to enhance both the web and mobile application experiences of our AI-powered cardiac care solution.
- In this role, you will have ownership of building new backend and devOps features for our platform and also working closely with the Engineering lead in improving our current infrastructure.
- You’ll help drive continuous care innovations and contribute to the quality of life improvements for patients around the world.
- Your work will have a direct impact on improving patient care and business outcomes.
- You will take full ownership of features specifically on the backend, from concept to deployment, with the freedom to solve problems your way, while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team.
- Maintain high coding standards and practices to ensure code quality and maintainability.
Requirements
- Must hold a valid work permit and be based in or around Montreal to work 2 days per week in the Montreal office.
- 3+ years of professional experience in developing and deploying highly scalable backend systems.
- Strong Proficiency in using containerization tools like Docker.
- Strong proficiency in Python, Java.
- Hands-on experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform.
- Experience with AWS.
- Experience building CI/CD pipelines with tools like CircleCI, GitHub Actions, etc.
- Strong knowledge of SQL and NoSQL (Dynamodb) databases.
- Experience designing and scaling backend systems on the cloud.
- Familiarity with serverless technologies like AWS Lambda.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot, debug, and solve complex issues.
- Familiarity with engineering best practices such as design patterns and unit testing.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
