About the role
- Entry level Physical Designer in Renewable Substations group responsible for drafting and modeling. Collaborating with engineering teams to provide quality deliverables on time and within budget.
Responsibilities
- Assists in detailed design of substation and conventional generation, as needed
- Produces physical substation packages including general arrangements, elevations, bill of materials, conduit, grounding, lightning protection, and illumination
- Selects hardware for appropriate applications
- Works effectively as part of a team or independently with oversight
- Maintains high ethical and professional standards within the overall organization
- Attends conferences, training workshops, seminars, and classes as appropriate for professional advancement and to maintain quality of work
- Attends safety training and follows safety rules and guidelines
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Associates degree in related field preferred
- 1 – 3 years of drafting, design, engineering, or related experience
- Proficiency with AutoCAD and Microsoft Office required
- A strong command of the English language
- Possesses effective written and oral communications skills
- Good interpersonal and people skills
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis
