OT Engineer responsible for IoT infrastructure connection of production facilities and troubleshooting. Collaborating with IT, production, and third-party providers for machine networking.
Responsibilities
Responsibility for connecting our production equipment and test stands to our IoT infrastructure
Development of the connectivity concept for machine networking
Support in troubleshooting and fault diagnosis as well as resolving performance bottlenecks in machine data communication and the OT network
Support for security audits and implementation of measures to ensure OT security
Collaboration with IT, production and external service providers and acting as an interface between engineering and IT
Support for Production Engineering in specifying new production systems and accompanying the acceptance and commissioning process.
Requirements
Completed technical training in electrical engineering, automation engineering, mechatronics, IT systems electronics or a comparable qualification
Professional experience in an industrial environment, ideally in machine integration, automation or network communication
Very good knowledge of common OT communication protocols and fieldbus systems (e.g., OPC UA, Profinet, MQTT, Modbus)
Knowledge of relevant standards and regulations in OT security, such as ISO 27001, IEC 62443 or NIS2
Experience connecting PLC controllers, for example PCS7, S7 or Allen-Bradley
Good German and basic English skills.
