About the role
- Mid-Level Network Designer supporting Boeing Defense, Space and Security working with IT Business Success Leaders and stakeholders. Focuses on implementing and maintaining communications and network systems.
Responsibilities
- Leads and performs the identification, analysis, and documentation of requirements for network LAN technologies and services
- Works collaboratively with other stakeholders in focused, agile-inspired sprint teams
- Provides oversight and consultation of work intake processes
- Creates and documents designs that conform to architectural and security standards
- Prepares, deploys, and coordinates installation of complex implementation packages
- Provides Level 3 Incident/Problem Management support
- Supports and participates in component research
- Leads and performs implementation planning for tactical multi-technology insertion projects
Requirements
- Successfully completed Tier 5 Investigation (T5)
- 3+ years of experience with Cisco routers and switches & Cisco IOS implementations
- 3+ years of experience with Design, Implementation and Troubleshooting of LAN and WAN
- 3+ years of experience utilizing TCP/IP network protocols
- Ability to support after-hours change windows and implementations
- Willing to cover on call shifts, including weekends and after hours
