About the role

• Lead SDET Engineer focusing on quality in Big Data pipelines and AI systems. Collaborating with product, AI/ML, and engineering teams for test strategies and frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Implement and refine quality assurance strategies as devised in collaboration with the Product Development Manager (PDM) for your engagement(s). Focus on translating strategic visions into actionable plans that enhance testing efficiency and product quality across projects.
• Manage the design, development, and execution of comprehensive testing frameworks that align with the Architect's technology and quality standards. Ensure projects are executed with precision, adhering to established timelines and resource allocations.
• Lead the practical application and optimization of automation frameworks in line with the Architect’s overarching technology roadmap. Drive the adoption of advanced automation tools and practices that enhance testing processes and product quality.
• Build automation framework (Selenium/Cypress/Playwright), including advanced scripting for automation and the development of custom testing frameworks.
• Validate large-scale data ingestion, transformation, and processing pipelines.
• Develop automated data quality tests including schema validation, partitioning logic, and anomaly detection.
• Develop automated data quality tests in Python, including schema validation, partitioning logic checks, and anomaly detection, using libraries such as PySpark, Pandas, and Pytest for scalability and maintainability.
• Show proficiency in programming languages relevant to test automation (Python), demonstrating the ability to contribute to code base and automation scripts.
• Build and maintain scalable Cypress/Playwright frameworks for UI and integration testing across web applications.
• Ensure frontend quality through robust end-to-end test coverage across multiple browsers and platforms.
• Collaborate closely with frontend engineers to test dynamic, data-driven interfaces.
• Deep knowledge of databases and SQL, with experience executing complex data validation and interacting with databases for comprehensive backend testing.
• Proficient in defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla), with a strong track record in bug reporting, tracking, and resolution processes.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field; equivalent practical experience considered.
• Minimum of 8 years of hands-on experience in software quality assurance, demonstrating a track record of success in test strategy, planning, execution, and maintenance, including the creation of comprehensive test documentation.
• At least 4 years of experience with automated testing tools (Selenium/Playwright/Cypress), including advanced scripting for automation and the development of custom testing frameworks.
• Should have experience in Playwright or Cypress Framework using JavaScript.
• Proven leadership in Agile and Scrum methodologies, with a solid ability to drive QA strategies within rapid development cycles and iterative testing environments.
• Expertise in continuous integration (CI) and continuous delivery (CD) pipelines, with a strong understanding of how to optimize automated tests for efficiency and speed within CI/CD processes.
• Advanced proficiency in programming languages relevant to test automation (Java), demonstrating the ability to contribute to code base and automation scripts.
• Deep knowledge of databases and SQL, with experience executing complex data validation and interacting with databases for comprehensive backend testing.
• Proficient in defect tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, Bugzilla), with a strong track record in bug reporting, tracking, and resolution processes.
