About the role
- Junior Backend Developer at a multinational pharmaceutical company. Responsible for developing backend services and maintaining integrations, utilizing Java and PostgreSQL.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and maintain backend components and APIs in collaboration with the product team.
- Support the development and maintenance of integrations with enterprise testing tools (e.g., Tosca, Playwright, Cypress, etc.).
- Participate in code reviews, testing, and documentation to ensure high-quality standards.
- Collaborate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives as part of a Scrum team.
- Contribute to improving the platform’s performance, reliability, and scalability.
- Assist in deployment and monitoring of backend services in AWS environments.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or in last year, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- 1–2 years of experience (or internship) in backend development.
- Experience with Java (Spring Boot or similar frameworks).
- Knowledge of PostgreSQL or other relational databases.
- Familiarity with RESTful APIs, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Fluent English.
- Nice to have: Basic experience with Node.js/NestJS (used in Testing Hub QuickStarters).
- Experience or interest in testing tools such as Tosca, Playwright, Cypress, Selenium.
- Exposure to AWS services (S3, Lambda, RDS) or cloud-based deployment.
- Basic understanding of frontend technologies (React, TypeScript).
