Responsibilities
- Build and maintain highly reliable Linux-based platforms, spanning virtualization, cloud, and container environments.
- Drive automation across deployment, monitoring, and operations using DevOps and Infrastructure-as-Code practices.
- Collaborate closely with engineering teams to troubleshoot complex issues and enhance system performance.
- Ensure scalable, secure, and efficient infrastructure services.
- Contribute to continuous improvement and knowledge sharing through pair working and modern engineering practices.
Requirements
- Strong experience with Linux system administration
- Design, deploy, and support virtualization and cloud infrastructures (VMware, OpenStack, etc.)
- Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD tools (e.g., Gitlab, Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible, Chef, Git)
- Experience with monitoring technologies (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, PagerDuty, PRTG)
- Experience with Kubernetes and containerized environments
- Experience with scripting (i.e. bash, Python, PowerShell, etc.)
- Experience with cloud technologies and distributed computing concepts
- Knowledge of network troubleshooting and tools (e.g. ping, iperf, MTR, netstat, traceroute, dig)
- Extensive knowledge of networking protocols: DNS, HTTP, SSL, TCP
- Knowledge of storage architectures
- Develop and optimize management efforts for our services using automation practices
- System development using devops principles and practices
- Strong analysis and troubleshooting skills and experience
