• Infrastructure Engineer contributing to AWS architecture and automation at Oddin.gg. Collaborating with teams to optimize performance and support developer experience.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to AWS Architecture: Collaborate on designing and refining our AWS stack (EC2, ECS, Kafka, RDS, Redis). Help ensure scalability, reliability, and cost-effectiveness.
• Implement Infrastructure Automation: Use Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tooling to automate deployments and enforce consistency across environments.
• Optimize for Performance & Cost: Assist in configuring systems to handle traffic surges while managing resource usage and budgets. Provide input on capacity planning and cost-reduction strategies.
• Support Developer Experience: Help establish and maintain efficient CI/CD pipelines. Work with software engineers to streamline deployments, reduce friction, and enhance overall developer productivity.
• Troubleshoot & Improve Systems: Identify issues, propose fixes, and implement solutions to enhance uptime, performance, and maintainability.
• Knowledge Sharing & Collaboration: Work closely with peers to share insights, document best practices, and continuously improve team processes and technical standards.

Requirements

• AWS Proficiency: Solid hands-on experience with core services (EC2, ECS, RDS, ElastiCache/Redis, Kafka). Familiarity with designing and operating production workloads at scale.
• IaaC & Automation: Competence in Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar frameworks. Experience automating routine tasks and ensuring reliable deployments.
• CI/CD Fundamentals: Understanding of continuous integration and delivery practices (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions) to help teams build, test, and deploy efficiently.
• High-Performance Systems: Exposure to distributed system concepts (load balancing, caching, partitioning) and a track record of solving performance bottlenecks.
• AWS Cost Management: Basic knowledge of AWS pricing models and how to optimize infrastructure spend. Ability to support cost analysis and right-sizing efforts.
• Scripting & Problem-Solving: Proficiency with one or more languages (Bash, Python, Go) to automate workflows and quickly address issues in the environment.
• Teamwork & Communication: Strong collaboration skills to partner with cross-functional teams, share learnings, and clearly convey technical ideas.
